About Me
Catherine Liberatos
is currently getting her BA in Writing, Literature, and Publishing at Emerson College in Boston, MA, and intends to graduate in Fall 2025!
Originally from Charleston, South Carolina (yes, like Southern Charm), Callie grew up at the beach surrounded by friends, family, sandollars, and kayaking. While she still loves Charleston and the ocean, she knew she wanted to move to the city and try her hand at writing. She’s always had a passion for the arts. Growing up with a plein air painter for a mom and a dad with a concerningly large record collection, the humanities have always been her strong suit.
Right now, she’s working on writing as much as she can, taking lots of pictures, and plans to launch a blog in the coming months — keep checking The Corner for updates!
My Favorite Things…
Travelling! During the summer of 2024, I participated in a travel writing program and went to places such as Venice (seen above), Amsterdam, the Netherlands, Greece, and Belgium!
Running and hiking! While I don’t get to hike often, it’s one of my favorite things to do, and my goal is to run a marathon this year! (or maybe just a few 5ks, we’ll see how it goes).
Music! There’s nothing more invigorating than hearing live music. My favorite concerts have been The Eras Tour (duh), Noah Kahan, Conan Gray, and Briston Maroney.

Ah, yes, the question of the hour. After graduating in December 2025, she either wants to go straight into working on her master’s or go into the publishing field and go back for the degree later. In publishing, she’s interested in becoming a literary agent or working in marketing or editorial.
Later in life, she wants to be a professor and stay on the East Coast writing.

Her ideal day would be waking up to go on a run, getting coffee, and then hanging out with friends. Obviously, she would read for a few hours, take some pictures for her digital journal, and then probably drink another coffee. To end the day, she’d make green tea and curl up with her Pinterest, journal, and Kindle.

She mostly writes fiction. Currently, she’s taking an Advanced Fiction Seminar taught by Jerald Walker and an Intro to Non-fiction class with Paul Haney. She mostly writes contemporary fiction, new adult, romance, and YA but doesn’t like to box herself in. And, of course, magazine articles (which can be read in the Articles tab above).
